For the noble angels of forum moderation.
I put the files in the archives (<10 000 images) - rules are broken.
If the files are not stored in the archive, the torrent file is too large - the rules are broken.
Rules are broken = Baby Jesus cry.

If the .torrent file for your release is bigger than 250 (or is it 256?) kB, then you can do one of the following:
- Try creating the .torrent with the piece size as big as possible (latest versions of uTorrent allow you to choose from a list of up to 16 kB). It doesn't help
too much, but it can help reducing the torrent file size by a few percent, if you're just a few kBs above the limit.
- If the size of the .torrent file is above 250 kB but below 950 kB*, then just zip the torrent file and attach the resulting .zip archive to the topic just like you would attach the .torrent file itself. 250 kB is the file size limit for common users; moderators can attach torrents of up to 950 kB in size. So the moderator will grab your zipped torrent, unzip it and attach it himself. You'll then visit the topic, see that your torrent file is attached, download it and start seeding.
*note: 950 kB is the theoretical limit. It includes the size of the torrent file PLUS the size of the post itself (amount of characters times 2, since it's in Unicode), so don't push this limit too much. Already ~ 920 kB results in a huge pain in the ass for everyone involved.
- If your torrent file is bigger than 950 kB, then yes, you should definitely zip the photo sets. The "applies to collections of over 10000 photos" phrase that you can see in the rules is something like a rule of thumb - nowadays photos can get pretty big so you might hit the .torrent size limit earlier than you hit 10K photos, so don't worry about that too much. For example, I once had a pack of approx 6.5K photos of another model (and, granted, there were some videos inside too) which resulted in an approx. 940 kB torrent file. Cue exciting (not really) adventures trying to attach it and not break the post itself.
She now has around 15K photos to her name, so of course I had to zip the sets later at some point.
Speaking of zipping the sets into archives, what
GXN is telling you is that your zips shouldn't contain any folders inside them. For example, setname.zip/01.jpg, setname.zip/02.jpg and so on, instead of setname.zip/setname/01.jpg, setname.zip/setname/02.jpg etc. If you're using WinRAR, this can be quickly done by selecting all the folders you need, selecting "archive", then going to "Files" tab of the dialog window of WinRAR and choosing there "Don't save path" in the dropdown list and checking the "put each file into a separate archive" checkbox. This way, you'll get a zip file for each of the folders you've selected without any additional folders inside them. Actually, pretty much any decent archive software can do this (the exact actions required to achieve it will be different, of course).
Here's a script someone made for *nix, for example.
Hope this helps!
BTW, I've translated your English description from the first post into proper Russian instead of that machine translation, feel free to use if you want.
