You can tell how unenthusiastic I am about this Sean Cody update that it took me two days to post about it, which you regular readers will know rarely happens. (In fact, it’s highly unusual for me to not have a post up within a few hours of its debut.)
To be sure, I was not taken with either Lane or Forrest at first, though Forrest has grown on me.
I think the problem is the “this-is-the-first-time-X-guy-has-ever-done-Y” phenomenon that Cody seems particularly enamored with right now is wearing on me a bit. That, coupled with the fact that Lane is only 18 years old, and, as I pointed out here, looks every bit his age.
It’s not a creep factor per se; it’s more disinterest, despite their joint, sunshiny attitude. But maybe that’s just me. I’d love for you all to tell me I’m wrong.
So, really and truly, what do you think?
P.S. If you think the gallery looks a bit odd, you’re not going insane. Once I finished it, I realized that the Cody people uncharacteristically put them (mostly) in reverse order. Call me lazy for not rearranging them. Or just bored.
