So many people in the entertainment industry spend a large portion of [their] lives working to make quality material. Don’t underestimate us! We’re forces of nature and we create iconic shit!
PP: You stated that you’ve been “so inspired by the porn community and industry.” In what way?
OG: I work hard to create what I believe is edgy and poignant images as a model and an artist. When I decided to begin working in the porn industry as a career, I think what struck me most is how painfully underrated adult performers are in the mainstream world. This industry creates work that blows me away on the daily That hits home in such a powerful way. Sexuality is scary, and I think what makes the porn industry so inspiring to me is that it forces you to get out of your comfort zone and finally face your own unique brand of sexuality- which so many people spend their lifetime running from. I find that beautiful.
I think what I love most about porn is the sense of empowerment I get from it.
PP: What’s your favorite type of porn?

OG: The freedom! I get to fuck talented, incredibly sexy performers. I get paid enough to travel the world. I have plenty of time off, so I don’t feel oppressed by working too much, but when i do work, I’m super passionate about my job! It’s really been a win-win situation for me.
PP: Aside from the obvious, how does this differ from modelling?
OG: That’s a tough question it’s completely different in some ways, and the same thing in other ways. The content of a porn shoot has different requirements than, say, a fashion editorial. The point of either of them is to look beautiful and inspire the viewer, but fashion is more of a mental stimulation. Porn doesn’t stop til you’re cumming.
PP: I had no idea that you were the star of Ryan and Kelly Madison’s Cirque De CoCo! I loved that scene. I always thought that scene could have been the basis for an amazing Dresden Dolls music video! What was it like working with the Madisons?
OG: I loved it! I can’t wait to work with them again. Cirque De Coco will go down in my memory as one of the most fabulous shoots, mainstream or porn, that I’ve ever been on. The luxury and style was through the roof! I never wanted it to end.
PP: You used to be known as CoCo. What’s the story behind the change to Olive Glass?
OG: Coco was sort of my way of staying disguised, because at the time I was very uncomfortable with people knowing I did porn. It was a vague, one-word name that made me really hard to Google. My mainstream modeling name is Glass Olive, and I hid my porn work as much as I could. I loved shooting porn, but at the time I felt like people would judge me and I wouldn’t be as valuable in my field. Now I realize it makes me more valuable, more powerful. A porn model with an extensive modeling background isn’t exactly the worst position I could be in.

PP: What sort of reaction did you get from friends and family about the adult work? Has that changed since becoming a Penthouse Pet?
OG: My mom and stepdad were kind of dubious about my modeling and porn for a long time. When I became a Penthouse Pet I think they finally realized how hard I work, and how legitimate my career choices are. they have my back now, 100%. I couldn’t be happier about that! For the most part, the rest of my extended family still lives in a conservative Mormon bubble. They’re not very sex positive and I think I make them uncomfortable. Thats chill, though, because they kind of make me uncomfortable too.
PP: Your scene at Brazzers is hilarious and your Naughty America are a cut above the rest. You can act! That’s pretty rare in adult, what’s your background?
OG: Thanks! My first love is acting. I’ve been acting in indie films, music videos, and mainstream films, dance, and theater performance professionally for over a decade. I’ll be an actress til the day I die!
PP: Speaking of acting, you had a part in an Adam Sandler movie? Tell me about that.
OG: I actually had two roles in the same movie! It’s called ‘The Do-Over’, and it’s on Netflix. I was Catherine Bell’s body double for a fake threesome scene with Luis Guizman and David Spade (Guizman was pretending to fuck me from behind while I pretended to give David Spade a blow job. PP: Do you have a desire to do mainstream acting?
OG: Yeah! I’ll probably continue doing mainstream acting til I’m a tiny old lady with no teeth.

OG: Sometimes! [laughs] Not always. I’m pretty introverted and sometimes I’m awkward as hell. But when I find a way to let all my weird insecurities and anxieties fall away, that’s when I feel the sexiest. When I’m on set I feel like i can just let go of anything that’s holding me back and just embrace my sexuality. It feels good.
OG: I think knowing how to pose really gives me an edge in my porn career. I recommend all performers try and do a little modeling outside of the porn industry. It gives you confidence in your body on set, or even at industry events where you want to look sharp. I also think my modeling has given me an eye for aesthetic in a shoot, which I like to think brings visual depth to my porn scenes.
PP: You used to live in New York. Say you’re going to spend a day in the city. Which neighborhood are you hanging out in?
OG: Bed Stuy and Bushwick! I lived in those two neighborhoods, and I like the scene a lot. It was where a lot of artists lived, and we were all broke and working our asses off making our dreams happen. I lived in a warehouse space that was part residential, part Hasidic book factory. My apartment was huge, and myself and my roommates would host concerts and art shows for free, just so my friends had a place to exhibit. It was rad, and a pretty classic NYC story.
PP: You left in part because it led to an unhealthy lifestyle right? The adult scene can party pretty hard too. How do you strike balance?
OG: I feel like life is a touch-and-go journey, sometimes, and you just learn what works for you as you go along. Now that I’m 27, it’s getting a hell of a lot easier to pass up a night of partying in exchange for not being brutally hungover the next day. If you want to be an artist with integrity, you just have to realize that creating work is more important than hanging out at parties bullshitting about how much work you’re going to make. Go out to network, go out to socialize, go out for whatever damn reason you want, but always know that in the end, your work as an artist is more important than the amount of people following you online.
PP: Easy questions coming up! You’ve got a goth vibe going on. What kind of music do you like?
OG: I’ve been really into goth music lately! I like all sorts of stuff, and I usually go through phases. I’ve been listening to Emilie Autumn, Phildel, and Nightwish like crazy lately. I just can’t get enough of the incredibly dramatic romantic goth vibe.
PP: Are you a big TV fan? What’s the latest show you got into?
OG: I am crazy about Westworld right now! I haven’t finished watching all the episodes out right now, and I can’t wait. Also Rick and Morty, and Bob’s Burgers.
PP: Gamer? Esports fan?
OG: I don’t really play any games. I used to play Sega back in the ‘90s though!
PP: What’s your favorite game?
OG: The Legend of Zelda, Diablo, and Little Big Planet!

1. How did you begin your career in the adult industry and how long have you been performing?
OLIVE GLASS: I have been performing in the adult industry as a career since February, 2017! I dabbled it in here and there for fun and extra money before, but in February I made the happy decision to move to LA and really go for it!
2. Please tell us a little about your heritage & upbringing and how that has shaped you into the beautiful woman you are today. We hear you have a Mormon history. What was that like? We’ve also heard rumors that you are from/spent time in Australia. Are the rumors true? Please set the record straight.
OLIVE GLASS: You’re right about the Mormonisn. I come from a branch of Mormonism that split from the church in the 1940’s, and moved to a part of the desert near the border of Nevada. They call themselves the Apostolic United Brethren. I had a really odd upbringing, by typical American kid standards. I never felt like i truly fit in. Most of the girls I grew up with couldn’t wait to get married as soon as humanly possible, have a bunch of kids, and settle down in the same community they grew up in; while there’s nothing wrong with that desire, I have always been deeply curious about the world, and there wasn’t anything I wanted more than to be a well-traveled, worldly woman whose presence demanded the respect of those around her. My community found my sense of adventure and ambition to be wildly blasphemous. No matter how hard they tried, I’m *far* from becoming a docile little fields wife. When I had the chance, I left home and created my life, just the way I always always wanted it.

I wake up around 8 am, drink a cup of tea, and dive into my work. Then on days when I’m not traveling or shooting, I usually run errands, do computer work, garden, and make a big dinner. I stop work around 8 pm, and play! I love hitting up a couple cool spots in LA for drinks. You’ll probably see me around East Hollywood on my days off.
10. What’s your current love life status? Single and loving it or is there someone special?
OLIVE GLASS: Very single! Haha. I just moved to LA and just began my career in porn! I’m too busy working on being a badass bitch right now.
11. Do you have any pets? What is your favorite animal?
OLIVE GLASS: I have a beautiful old rescue kitty, her name is Shiva. She’s my best friend and my favorite animal in the whole world.
12. In your spare time when you are not doing photo shoots and shooting porn films what do you enjoy spending your time doing?
OLIVE GLASS: Right now a lot of my energy is going towards my trip to Svalbard this Winter. I booked a tour guide to take me on a week long expedition across Svalbard, on two dogsleds. I will be bringing a few of my cameras and documenting the trip to create a coffee table book of my images and notes on the experience. It’ll be my first book and my first time in the Arctic, so obviously I’m over the moon with excitement. Also, the tour just happened to fall on my birthday, so that’s pretty cool.
13. What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
OLIVE GLASS: Probably booking this trip to Svalbard. Like, I’m going across the Arctic in my own dog sled with just myself and a local tour guide. That’s crazy. Other than that, this one time I rode in a hot air balloon and it got blown about 10 miles off-course and ran out of gas, and we had to make an emergency landing in a middle school playground at like 8 am. It was kind of scary but also I couldn’t stop laughing.

17. You share such emotion and can truly convey a story through your movements and expressions when shooting editorial photo sets and videography pieces. Can you please share with us your creative process while on set?
OLIVE GLASS: Every team I work with has different vibes. I just try to get in the groove of their pace and energy, and see how it effects me, then I do my best to physically express the emotions and reactions that bubble to the surface. Whoever said modeling is just standing around looking pretty was eating some strong drugs, because it’s anything but that. It’s often very draining, but so worth it. If I leave set- mainstream or porn- feeling like i truly connected with the team/performers to create something we all vibed with, I feel like I did my job right. Ideally that’s every shoot, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out. In the cases where I don’t feel like I accomplished my goal, I spend some time thinking about where the disconnect might have been, and ways I can improve for next time.
18. What kind of media is your favorite to shoot? We’ve watched you in everything from music videos, to stunning editorial magazine shoots to hardcore porn videos. What do you have the most fun shooting? What do you enjoy seeing the finished product of most?
OLIVE GLASS: I like all of them! I look for different outcomes to each genre. What I want from a fashion editorial is completely different than what I want from a porn film. Figuring out how to create a good product for different audiences is really fun to me. It feels really good when I hit the nail on the head, like I figured out a riddle. Although, I would say that I am partial to acting in indie films. There is nothing I love more than working on a film set where everyone is working hard to create a rad product. I love the feeling of a ‘set family’ and having time during the filming to get to know my character and sort of ‘fall into’ the story. I’m an actress at heart.

OLIVE GLASS: Yeah they do! I get approached from time to time- not often, but more lately than ever before. Everyone has been really sweet and fun to talk to. I probably get more excited than they do to meet a fan in person! It’s such a treat.

OLIVE GLASS: I can write backwards and forwards with both hands, at the same time.
23. Please tell us about your upcoming events, business plans and career aspirations. Are you currently working on any other projects that you can let us in on?
OLIVE GLASS: Well right now, I’m excited for the release of my first Wicked feature- Spoiled. I’m looking forward to attending my first industry events, and this winter I’ll be going to AVN for the first time! I’m so excited for that. This winter, I will also be doing some traveling in Norway and the Scandinavian countries, in order to create a book of photos and stories about my trip.

"I wouldn't say i was a porn fan before i got into the industry, because i didn't know a lot about it; i would say i was a porn enthusiast. Most of what I knew was stuff I stumbled onto on accident, and always found it really fascinating and hot. I grew up in a religious environment that looked down on women as sexual beings, so it took me awhile after leaving home to feel comfortable admitting to myself i was interested in porn- I always thought the idea of women having sex on camera as a career seemed so powerful and bad ass to me. the first time I remember thinking 'I want to do that!' I was 18, and had just read an interview with Sasha Grey online somewhere, and was totally blown away by her. I thought she was so relevant, and sexy! i wanted to be just like her! I hadn't even seen any of her porn, and didn't have to. Just her openness and fierceness was enough to change my life and opened that Pandora's box- she encouraged me to start exploring my own sexuality, which was a big step for 18 year old me."
How did you become a porn performer? What led you down that career path?
"I actually got my start through mainstream modeling! I was an art nude, glamour, and fashion model full-time for the past 7 years. I would occasionally shoot fetish with a few different companies (such as @bitchslapstudios on Twitter), and eventually even started shooting a little hardcore, but kept it super top secret from my public life. You seem to really love your fans and respond to them a lot on Twitter. Tell me how having this fan base has changed your life.
"My fan base is so cool! I only recently created a Twitter account. I feel like I've been really fortunate to have a fan base- for both my mainstream and adult work- that is really responsive and supportive. I don't know if that's rare, but it feels pretty rare. I realized how it had changed my life when I actually started bumping some of the people who have been following my work. It can be totally random- someone will recognize me at a grocery store, or a concert, on a subway, and say hi. It's really neat and inspiring when I'm approached my someone who appreciates my work and is stoked to meet me. I know it sounds cheesy, but I put so much thought and heart into everything I do, and it makes me want to cry happy tears when I find out it's actually impacted someone else."
What do you love most about doing girl/girl scenes?
"I love g/g scenes! "I have a lot of role models in porn I think because I'm pretty new at this, I've been learning something new from basically all the people I'm around on set. I adore Riley Reid, Mia Malkova, Jenna Sativa, Christiana Cinn...gorgeous ladies who are really killin' it. I could learn a lot from them! I also have some role models that aren't performers- for example, Kelly Holland, the owner of Penthouse. She's such a strong, intelligent woman in this industry, and I have a lot of respect for that."
What about your career in porn makes you the happiest?
"I'm doing what I love! I'm an actress by nature, and nothing makes me happier than being on set, working. and if work involves banging some of the hottest people I've ever seen...I think I'm winning at life! Ha ha!"
What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?
"Good god, it's been ages since I've seen a movie in theaters. I recently saw the animated version of 'The Little Prince' on Netflix and basically cried like a baby the entire time. It's so sweet. I also just saw 'What We Do in the Shadows', which is a mockumentary about this group of nerdy vampires who are also roommates. I went into it expecting it to suck (no pun intended ha ha ha) but it's actually so funny. I mean, it's cheesy, but just watch it. You'll laugh."
